Re: Western Gyo, Eastern Gyo in Tendai

Just as I suspected. I learned a lot of practices and practical things during my training.

- What I truly learned is humility and gratitude.

Re: Keisho Leary and California Tendai Monastery

When the Japanese priests arrived at the NY Betsuin for the anniversary this year they immediately went from the bus into the hondo and preformed a service for Rev Ganshin Rock and Rev Keisho Leary. Unfortunately I never met Ganshin. Rev Senshin and I were so very lucky to have had attended several ...

Re: Western Gyo, Eastern Gyo in Tendai

Welcome back to Earth and very well done!

You have been fortunate enough to have many training experiences before attending the gyo you just completed. What did you learn from this gyo?

Re: Proposed English translation of the Goma manual

The link I posted was from Keisho's blog. http://vkleary.blogspot.com/ I apologize for not calling that out in my original post. Keisho is a Tendai Priest and the Abbot of the California Tendai Monastery. We have been very fortunate as he has served as one of the teachers at our yearly gyo at...

Re: Ninja Kuji-In Mudra from Vairocanasambodhi Sutra?

Togakure Ryu has a connection to Tendai-shu. They say that the founder of Togakure Ryu was trained by So-O who is also credited with st...
