Re: A Joint Statement on the Shamar Incarnation
Has OT even cleared himself of the sex scandal already. And TD willing to collaborate with a very likely womanizer just to reduce his own responsibility? when it doesn't seem good time to collaborate, you want to collaborate.

Re: Academic papers discussing TMC and Ayurveda
This is true. So far. However your statement was that no evidence in support of alternative modalities exist. That is false. There is evidence. However large scale studies have not been conducted yet. As I said that is true. However you are now moving the goalposts. You originally said no evidence ...

This is true. S...

why should this even need to happened? whether a dharma teacher has a sickness or not, the medical doctor will diagnosed it. Sometimes, Ithink is it some of the teachings interfering with logical reasoning in Dharma groups.

Re: is Luding Khen Rimpoche a realized being?
Incredibly I did not realize that HE Luding Khenchen Dorje Chang had rested his intent back in December 2022. I was on a short retreat at the time but somehow I was unaware of his Parinirvana. Here are links to his sacred cremation ceremony. You have to scroll down a little bit but they are in the ...

Don't worry about the long sadhana. The reciting of her mantras is said to be more precious more important than the sadhana meditation.

Re: is Luding Khen Rimpoche a realized being?
This sounds like the showering of transcendental wisdom experience that is explicitly explained in Lam Dre. Sometimes, the disciples may enter samadhi, sometimes spontaneous vajra dance or speak vajra languages. One of my vajra friends has told me that he experience a blissful state of mind for enti...

Re: China’s Building a Massive Number of New Coal Plants
I am not sure of the accuracy of such data from many YT videos. Last information I got is that China is planning to build hundreds of nuclear power stations in the next few decades. And they are already executing this fast as can be verified in The Economist's article. https://www.economist.com/chin...

Re: In TB, is there a specific Pure Land we aim for (Sukhavati?) or you can aim for whatever you want?
Self-power, other-power, who cares? it’s doesn’t matter either way. Only the hook of faith is able to catch the ring of compassion. It's the difference between practising without calculation and attaining Buddhahood upon death, and wavering and spending 500 years or many kalpas to even begin hearin...

Re: Is first dhyāna necessary for the first bhūmi?
Where does the eightfold path and threefold training stand in relation to the bodhisattva bhūmis if not even the first dhyāna is a prerequisite? What does the samādhi component entail if not the anāgamya or first dhyāna? I am personally familiar with first dhyāna being an absolutely mandatory neces...

Alright, I just got it. I will read it today. This is probably one difference between sutra path and vajrayana/Dzogchen path. For Vajrayana/Dzogchen path, going to pureland is due to some recognition during bardo state while for sutra path, Amitabha will arrive to lead the dead to the pureland dire...

I am not sure serthar larung gar's teaching is based on sutra or TB but they did explain the 4 main criteria that are already mentioned in a few posts here. Khenpo Jigme Phuntsok was known to say that reciting the Prayer of Good Conduct (or King Aspiration Prayer of Bodhisattva Samantabhadra) is the...

Vajrayoginī Why is this? Heard quite many Sakyapas practiced this only and attained siddhahood. In one of Namkhai Norbu's book about his uncle, he mentioned he visited the Siddha of Nalong with his uncle. This Siddha of Nalong was one of those that attained full accomplishment with Vajrayogini prac...

Re: Scientifically exploring Thukdam
I would suggest studying the channel effects in tantric practitioners is a more doable task than to study thukdam. For an accomplished tantric practitioners, I have heard that there are still residual channel effects in the body even many days after death. And I wonder why there isn't more study on ...
