Thanks. I just reread the entirety of the Padmakara translation and I didn't see it. Possibly I missed it, I was reading quickly.

That you very much, that is the kind of tip I'm looking for. However, I've been searching the text for a while now and haven't been able to locate it, so any further pointers anyone might have are appreciated.

Can someone please refresh my memory - what is the story of the teacher who demanded that his students renounce their former teachers but then would only teach the student who refused to do so. Thanks in advance!

Re: Leslie Hays says Akong R kidnapped and tortured SMR

I can tell you that the plan to seize control of Nova Scotia by force if necessary was still paid lip service to at Vajrayana seminary as late as the early aughts. Not sure if anyone ever spilled those beans before Leslie.

Re: Leslie Hays says Akong R kidnapped and tortured SMR

In any case, we are seeing more and more people emboldened to come forward with unwelcome information despite the best efforts of many to silence them, so hopefully there will be greater opportunity for examination. Information suppression isn’t what it used to be, as we are seeing. The point is, t...

Leslie Hays says Akong R kidnapped and tortured SMR, Leslie Hays says CTR tortured a cat. Is there anyone here that actually know Leslie Hays and that can vouch for her stories? /magnus Magnus, are you suggesting that we should not just take everything that Hays says at face value but that we shoul...

She was one of his several wives in the 80s and a member of his inner circle. I don't know her personally but that much is not disputed by anyone.

No, figured it was better to just present the primary source and let you make of it what you will. I can't recall now but I don't think Chandler has anything other than this.

I should have chosen my words more carefully, "so much" is inaccurate. She charges Matthis Namgyel with covering for Sogyal Rinpoche, I think in part based on this and on other occasions: https://vimeo.com/53576867 And also refers to here: https://buddhism-controversy-blog.com/2012/06/15/w...

Hello all, I am a colleague of Loch Kelly’s and wanted to clear up some of the confusions here: 1. I have helped coordinate events for Loch and other teachers. Some of the information about fees is related to communicating with hosts about how many students they think will attend. Most lay teachers...

The Law of Karma: A Philosophical Study by Bruce Reichenbach, University of Hawaii Press, ISBN 0-8248-1352-9 This book is a little obscure but it is wonderful and one of its kind. One of the only places I've ever seen anyone treat some of the philosophical conundrums that arise from the implication...
